Albert Head

Albert Head is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off on the southwest side of Victoria, British Columbia, falling from roughly 25 to 150 feet within DFO subarea 19-3. The headland's steep edge and current-swept structure concentrate baitfish along the contour, drawing Chinook Salmon through their June to August peak and Coho Salmon from June into September. Tidal flow wraps the point hard on both the flood and the ebb, stacking fish along the rockface and the deeper shelf below. Anglers working the area focus on the transition between the shallower reef top near 25 feet and the sharper break out toward 150 feet, where salmon hold against the structure.
