Triple Islands is an exposed offshore reef complex west of Prince Rupert, where rocky pinnacles and current-swept structure rise from depths of 60 to 250 feet. Lingcod and rockfish hold tight to the reef through the February to July peak, while Pacific halibut work the surrounding gravel and sand flats from April through August. Chinook salmon transit the area in two distinct windows, February to April and again April to July, feeding along the tide lines that form off the islands. Anglers target lingcod and rockfish with leadhead jigs and metal jigs worked close to structure, while halibut respond to drift jigging with heavy metal jigs and swimbaits over deeper ground. Chinook are taken on downrigger trolling with whole herring, anchovy in teaser heads, and hootchies behind flashers as fish move through on the tide.

Triple Islands is one of the spots we track around Prince Rupert. See every scored spot in British Columbia.
