I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE

Mid

Point Hannon is a mixed-bottom drop-off in DFO subarea 9 off Edmonds, Washington, where the seabed falls through 80 to 200 feet along a mid-exposure edge. The structure holds Chinook Salmon from June through August and Coho Salmon from June into October, both taken by trolling flashers with hootchies, trolling spoons, or cut-plug herring along the break, with mooching and metal jigs working as alternatives. Lingcod stack up on the harder bottom from February through April and respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, or leadhead jigs, or to live bait such as greenling and herring. Pacific Halibut move through from March into June and are worked with drift jigging using leadhead jigs and plastic swimbaits or bottom bait fishing with whole herring and squid over the deeper stretches of the drop. Black Rockfish hold near the structure from April through September and take metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits, with Quillback and Copper Rockfish and Pacific Cod sharing the same mixed bottom.
