Lighthouse Point is an outer-exposed rock drop-off near Oak Harbor, Washington, in Marine Area 8-1, where the bottom falls away steeply through depths of 260 to 660 feet. Chinook and Coho Salmon are the primary summer targets, both peaking from June through September, while Pacific Halibut runs strongest from March into June and Lingcod concentrates in February and March. Anglers work the salmon here by trolling flashers, trolling spoons, hoochies, and cut plug herring, with mooching whole or cut plug herring as an alternative over the moving structure. The rocky drop-off holds Black Rockfish from February through September, taken by jigging metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits along the edges. For Halibut and Lingcod, drift jigging leadhead and metal jigs works the deeper contours where the slope meets the current.
