Quarters Point is an outer-exposed rock drop-off in DFO subarea 13 off Olympia, Washington, where the bottom falls from 260 to 660 feet. Chinook Salmon build through the summer with a peak from June to September, followed by Coho Salmon holding strong from July into October. Trolling flashers, cut-plug herring, trolling spoons, and hootchies works the water column along the drop, while mooching whole or cut-plug herring and jigging metal or leadhead jigs cover the deeper edges. The same rock structure holds Lingcod, Pacific Halibut, Pacific Cod, and a mix of Copper, Black, and Canary Rockfish along the bottom. The steep contour and exposed setting concentrate fish where the depth changes fast, making the drop-off itself the feature to fish.
