Ben Mohr Rock is a rocky pinnacle in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, rising from mid-exposure water with fishable structure between 40 and 120 feet. Lingcod hold tight to the rock and peak from February through April, while Pacific Halibut work the surrounding bottom from March into August. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho follow from June into October, alongside resident Quillback, Canary, and Rougheye Rockfish plus Sablefish in the deeper water. Anglers targeting lingcod jig metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs over the pinnacle, and drop metal jigs or leadhead jigs with soft plastics on the drift for halibut. Salmon come to trolled anchovy, herring, hootchies, and spoons worked across the structure, with mooched cut-plug herring a productive option through the Chinook season.
