Deep Ridge is a rock pinnacle in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, rising through a water column that runs from the surface down to about 220 feet with mid-range exposure. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through August, alongside Lingcod that peak February through April and Chinook Salmon that peak May through August. Halibut respond to drift jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs dressed with soft plastics, or herring worked near the bottom, while Lingcod come to jigging with metal jigs and swimbaits over the rock. Copper Rockfish and other reef species hold on the pinnacle year-round and take jigged metal jigs and leadhead jigs with soft plastics. Chinook Salmon move through the higher water and are targeted by trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and trolling spoons.
