Hump 2.6 km S of San Simon Point is a rocky pinnacle rising off the outer exposed coast near Port Renfrew, topping out in 85 to 90 feet of water. The structure holds Pacific Halibut through their March to August peak and Lingcod from May to August, alongside Darkblotched Rockfish, Bank Rockfish, and Pacific Cod that relate to the hard bottom. Chinook Salmon move through from May to September and Coho from June to September, both worked by trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, or spoons across the pinnacle. Halibut anglers drift jig heavy leadhead jigs, salmon bellies, herring, or octopus over the rock, while bottom bait fishing with whole herring, salmon heads, or squid covers the same depths. Lingcod come to metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs fished tight to the pinnacle's edges.
