STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Hump 1.0 km W of Tofino Inlet is a rocky pinnacle rising from the outer exposed coast near Tofino, British Columbia, with depths running from 75 to 240 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from May through August, alongside Pacific Halibut peaking March through June and Black Rockfish that stay active from May into September. Chinook Salmon move through on their own May-to-August window, with Coho following from June into October. Anglers work the pinnacle for lingcod by jigging metal jigs, soft plastic swimbaits, or leadhead jigs over the rock, while halibut respond to drift jigging with leadhead jigs and soft plastics along the deeper flanks. Salmon are taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and spoons above the same broken terrain that concentrates rockfish and bottomfish.
