Quisitis Point is a rocky drop-off off Ucluelet, British Columbia, where an outer-exposed shoreline falls from 20 to 120 feet and concentrates fish along its structure. Chinook Salmon peak May through August and Coho Salmon May through September, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and trolling spoons across the drop, with mooching cut-plug herring as a supporting approach. Lingcod hold on the rock through their March-to-May peak and respond to jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs. Pacific Halibut move through from April to August and are worked with drift jigging using leadhead jigs, metal jigs, or salmon belly along the deeper edges. Copper Rockfish and other rockfish stay on the structure year-round and take metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and soft plastic swimbaits.
