I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE
Drop Off
Outer Exposed

Williamson Rocks is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Anacortes, Washington, within DFO subarea 7, where the bottom falls from roughly 40 to 180 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through July, and Lingcod, which peak in February and March, alongside a summer run of Chinook Salmon from June through August and Coho Salmon that hold through October. Anglers drift herring, salmon bellies, squid, or octopus along the deeper edges for halibut, while jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs works the rock for lingcod and the black rockfish that peak from May through August. Salmon come to trolling with cut-plug herring, whole herring, flashers, and spoons over the drop-off, with mooching whole or cut-plug herring a productive alternative on the tide. The rock and depth range also produce Pacific Cod and Canary Rockfish through the season.
