Whiskey Rock is a rocky pinnacle rising through 15 to 40 feet of water off Anacortes, Washington, in DFO subarea 7, with mid-level exposure to current and swell. The structure holds a dense rockfish population, with Black Rockfish peaking May through August alongside Blue, Copper, and China Rockfish, while Lingcod concentrate over the rock in February and March. Anglers work the pinnacle with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and soft plastic swimbaits for both rockfish and lingcod, dropping tight to the structure where fish stack against the rock. Pacific Halibut move through from March into July and respond to drift fishing with herring, salmon bellies, squid, or octopus across the deeper edges. Coho and Chinook Salmon pass through the area from June onward and are taken by trolling flashers, trolling spoons, and cut-plug herring near the pinnacle.
