Los Frayles is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off La Push, Washington, where the bottom falls from 30 to 180 feet along broken structure. Lingcod hold here through their February–April peak and respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, or leadhead jigs, while live greenling or herring worked on the bottom draws the larger fish. Pacific Halibut move through from April to August, taken by drift fishing whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid across the deeper edges. Black Rockfish stack up over the rock from June to September and take metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits, with blue, canary, and yellowtail rockfish sharing the same ground. Chinook Salmon (April–August) and Coho Salmon (May–September) run the outer water and come to trolling with flashers, spoons, hoochies, or cut-plug herring.
