STRUCTURE
Drop Off
Outer Exposed

Ozette Island sits off La Push on Washington's outer coast, an exposed rock drop-off where depths fall from 330 to 1,310 feet. Chinook Salmon peak from April through August and Coho Salmon from May through September, both taken by trolling flashers, hoochies, and trolling spoons or by mooching cut-plug and whole herring. The rocky structure holds Lingcod, strongest February through April, which respond to jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs along the drop. Pacific Halibut share the April-to-August window, worked by drift fishing whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, and squid across the bottom. Black Rockfish gather over the same rock through the summer into September, hitting jigged metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits.
