Duncan Rock is an exposed rocky pinnacle off Neah Bay, Washington, where the bottom rises through depths of 20 to 80 feet along the outer coast. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from April through July, and Lingcod, which peak from March through May, alongside Canary and Widow Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and Sablefish. Chinook Salmon move through from April into August and Coho follow from May into September, both taken by trolling whole herring, trolling spoons, flashers, and hoochies over the pinnacle. Halibut hold near the rock in the deeper end of the range and respond to drift jigging with leadhead jigs, metal jigs, or swimbaits, while Lingcod come to metal jigs, swimbaits, and lead-head jigs with plastic worked tight to the rock. Pacific Cod, strongest from January through March, take metal jigs and leadhead jigs with soft plastics along the same structure.
