Fuca Pillar is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle off Neah Bay, Washington, where the bottom rises through depths of 30 to 80 feet at the mouth of the strait. The structure holds Chinook Salmon from April through August and Coho Salmon from May through September, with trolling whole herring, flashers, and hoochies working the current lines above the rock. Lingcod concentrate on the pinnacle March through May and respond to metal jigs and leadhead jigs with plastic worked close to the structure, while Black Rockfish stack up April through September over the same terrain. Pacific Halibut move onto the surrounding gravel from April through July, taken on drift jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits or bait fishing with herring and squid. Pacific Cod fill the winter window from January through March, hitting metal jigs and shrimp flies along the deeper edges.
