Mushroom Rock is a rocky pinnacle off Neah Bay, Washington, rising through an outer-exposed stretch of coastline where depths range from 20 to 60 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon at their peak from April through August and Coho Salmon from May through September, both taken by trolling whole herring, spoons, flashers, and hoochies across the pinnacle. Lingcod concentrate on the rock from March through May and respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, and lead-head jigs with plastic, while Black Rockfish hold from April through September over the same terrain. Pacific Halibut work the deeper edges from April through July on drift-jigged leadheads and metal jigs, and Pacific Cod move in from January through March. Anglers fishing the exposed rock face target the shallow-to-mid depth band where salmon, lingcod, and rockfish stack against the structure.
