Slant Rock is an exposed pinnacle rising from rocky bottom off Neah Bay, Washington, where depths run from 20 to 80 feet across the outer coast. The structure draws Chinook Salmon at their peak from April through August and Coho Salmon from May through September, both taken by trolling whole herring, spoons, flashers, and hoochies over the drop. Lingcod hold tight to the rock and peak March through May, worked with metal jigs, swimbaits, and lead-head jigs tipped with plastic. Pacific Halibut move through April to July and respond to drift jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits, while Black Rockfish stack up from April to September and Pacific Cod fill the winter months from January through March, both reached by jigging the pinnacle. The rock and current combine to concentrate fish along the pinnacle's edges, making this a productive spot to fish structure across the depth range.
