Spike Rock is a rocky pinnacle off Neah Bay, Washington, rising through outer-exposed water in the 20 to 60 foot range. Chinook Salmon peak here from April through August and Coho Salmon from May through September, with trolling whole herring, spoons, and flashers working the currents that sweep the structure. The rock itself holds Lingcod from March through May and Black Rockfish from April through September, both of which respond to jigging metal jigs and swimbaits close to the bottom. Pacific Halibut move through from April to July and take drift-jigged leadhead jigs and swimbaits over the deeper edges, while Pacific Cod fill the winter window from January through March. Blue Rockfish, Kelp Greenling, and Giant Pacific Octopus round out the mixed catch that the pinnacle's rock and depth relief support year-round.
