I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE

Mid

Biz Point is a rocky drop-off near Oak Harbor, Washington, in Marine Area 7, where the bottom falls away through mid-exposure water from roughly 260 to 660 feet. The deep structure draws Chinook and Coho Salmon at their peak from June through September, while Pacific Halibut hold along the slope from March into June and Lingcod concentrate through their February–March window. Salmon respond to trolling with flashers, trolling spoons, hoochies, or cut plug herring over the drop, with mooching whole or cut plug herring an option when fish sit shallower on the structure. Halibut come to drift jigging with leadhead jigs, metal jigs, or soft plastic swimbaits worked down to the rock, and Lingcod take metal jigs, leadhead jigs with swimbaits, or bucktail jigs along the same edges. Black Rockfish are present across a long Feb–Sep stretch and hit jigged metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits over the rocky bottom.
