Dickenson Point is an inner-protected drop-off near Olympia, Washington, where a mixed bottom falls through depths of 80 to 200 feet. Chinook Salmon are the primary draw, peaking from June through September, while Coho Salmon follow with a peak from July into October. The steady grade of the drop-off suits trolling flashers, cut-plug herring, and trolling spoons along the contour, with hootchies working the same water for both species. Anglers also mooch whole or cut-plug herring on the deeper edges and jig metal or leadhead jigs where the bottom breaks. The protected exposure keeps conditions workable on this structure, which additionally holds Lingcod, Pacific Halibut, and Canary, Copper, and Black Rockfish over the mixed seabed.
