Brisco Point is an inner protected drop-off in South Puget Sound off Olympia, Washington, where a mixed bottom falls away through depths of roughly 260 to 660 feet. The structure concentrates Chinook Salmon from June through September and Coho Salmon from July through October, with Lingcod, Pacific Halibut, Black Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and English Sole also holding along the slope. Trolling flashers, cut-plug herring, trolling spoons, and hootchies works the Chinook through the deeper water, while mooching whole or cut-plug herring covers the edges of the drop. Coho respond to trolling flashers with hoochies, trolling spoons, and cut-plug herring, and jigging metal jigs takes both salmon species when fish stack near the structure. The protected setting keeps conditions workable, and the steep contour lets anglers hold bait through the productive depth band as tide moves water across the point.
