Dover Point is an inner-protected drop-off in DFO subarea 13 off Olympia, Washington, where mixed bottom falls away through depths of 260 to 660 feet. The structure draws Chinook Salmon at their peak from June through September and Coho Salmon from July into October, with the sharp contour concentrating fish along the edge. Trolling flashers with cut-plug herring, trolling spoons, or hootchies covers water effectively across the drop, while mooching whole or cut-plug herring works the same edge at a slower pace. Anglers targeting Chinook also jig metal or leadhead jigs down along the structure when fish hold deep. Beyond salmon, the mixed bottom and depth support Lingcod, Pacific Halibut, Black, Yellowtail, and Copper Rockfish, and Pacific Cod.
