STRUCTURE
Drop Off
Outer Exposed

Ediz Hook is an outer-exposed drop-off off Port Angeles, Washington, where mixed bottom falls away through depths of 260 to 660 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon peaking June through August and Coho Salmon running June through September, both taken by trolling whole herring, flashers, hootchies, and spoons, with mooching cut-plug herring as a supporting approach. Lingcod concentrate over the mixed bottom from January through April and respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs. Pacific Halibut work the deeper water March through August, where drift fishing herring, octopus, or squid along the drop covers the ground effectively. Black Rockfish hold shallower from May through August and take metal jigs and leadhead jigs dressed with soft plastics.
