Hump 4.7 km NW of The Lagoon is a rocky pinnacle rising from the outer, exposed waters off Port Angeles, Washington, with fishable depths running from 90 to 150 feet. The rock structure holds lingcod, which peak from January through April, alongside Canary and Copper Rockfish, Chilipepper, and Pacific Cod. Pacific Halibut work the surrounding seafloor from March through August, while Chinook Salmon move through June to August and Coho follow June into September. Anglers target lingcod by jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, or leadhead jigs over the pinnacle, and drift herring, squid, or octopus for halibut across the deeper edges. For salmon, trolling whole herring, spoons, flashers, and hootchies covers the water column above the structure, with mooching cut-plug herring a workable alternative through the summer runs.
