The Lagoon Hump is a rocky pinnacle rising off Port Angeles, Washington, holding structure across a depth range of 90 to 150 feet in mid-exposure water. The spot draws Chinook Salmon at their peak from June through August and Coho Salmon from June into September, both worked over the pinnacle by trolling flashers, hootchies, and trolling spoons or by mooching cut-plug herring. Lingcod hold tight to the rock and peak January through April, taken on metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs, while Black Rockfish stack up from May through August and respond to leadhead jigs with soft plastics and swimbaits. Pacific Halibut move through from March into August and are targeted by drift fishing herring, squid, or octopus across the deeper edges of the pinnacle. Copper Rockfish, Canary Rockfish, and Cabezon also inhabit the rock structure here.
