Point Richmond is a mixed-bottom drop-off in DFO subarea 11 off Tacoma, Washington, where the seabed falls from roughly 260 to 660 feet along a mid-exposure edge. Chinook Salmon peak here from June through September and Coho Salmon from July through October, with both taken by trolling cut-plug herring, flashers, trolling spoons, and hoochies along the break. The deeper structure holds Pacific Halibut through their March-to-August window, worked with drift jigging using leadhead jigs and plastic swimbaits, herring, or squid over the bottom. Lingcod stack up on the drop-off from March into June and respond to metal jigs, leadhead jigs with swimbaits, and soft plastic swimbaits fished tight to the mixed structure. Black Rockfish hold along the same edge year-round and take metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits.
