Twin Harbors Nearshore is an outer-exposed sand flat off Westport, Washington, running through depths of 10 to 40 feet. The open-water setting draws salmon and aggregate rockfish, with the fishing peaking from June through September. Rockfish hold over the sand and respond to jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, swimbaits, and shrimp flies worked near the bottom. Bait fishing with herring, squid, or shrimp flies covers the same water, while mooching with herring or anchovies keeps the presentation moving through the shallow flat. The consistent depth across the flat makes it straightforward to fish jigs and baited rigs at the productive lower range.
