Seabird Rocks is an outer-exposed kelp reef off Bamfield, British Columbia, where rocky bottom structure rises through depths of 20 to 80 feet. The reef holds Lingcod, which peak from February through April and again from July through September, alongside Rockfish that concentrate over the rock from May into September. Chinook Salmon move through the surrounding water between May and August, and Pacific Halibut work the deeper edges from March into August. Anglers target the Lingcod and Rockfish with jigging over the structure, running metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and soft plastic swimbaits close to the rock, while Chinook are taken by trolling anchovy, herring, and flashers through the exposed outer water. On the deeper margins, drift jigging with leadhead jigs and salmon belly reaches Halibut holding along the bottom.
