Oyster Bay Hump is a rocky pinnacle rising from an outer, exposed stretch of water off Campbell River, with fishable depths running roughly 90 to 140 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from May to June and again from August to September, alongside Pacific Halibut through the long April to September window and a mix of Copper, Canary, and China Rockfish over the rock. Chinook Salmon move through from June to August and Coho from May to September, with Pacific Cod also present on the bottom. Lingcod respond to jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs with swimbaits, or bucktail jigs worked close to the pinnacle, while drift jigging with leadhead jigs, swimbaits, or metal jigs covers Halibut along the deeper edges. Salmon are typically taken by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, or hootchies over and around the high ground.
