Beddis Rock is a rock pinnacle in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, rising through a mid-exposure water column with fishable depths from 40 to 120 feet. The structure holds a steady population of bottomfish, with Lingcod peaking February through April, Black Rockfish from February into October, and Copper Rockfish present year-round. Anglers work the pinnacle with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits over the rock, backing that up with bait fishing using live greenling, whole herring, or squid for Lingcod. Salmon move through on their own schedule, with Chinook peaking May through August and Coho from June into October, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and spoons along the edges of the structure. Pacific Halibut hold on the deeper flanks from March through August, where drift jigging with metal jigs and leadheads reaches the bottom.
