Minx Reef is a rock pinnacle in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, rising through mid-exposure water with fishable structure from 40 to 120 feet. Black Rockfish hold here through their long Feb–Oct peak, while Lingcod concentrate over the rock from Feb to Apr and Pacific Halibut move through the surrounding depths March to August. Chinook Salmon peak May–Aug and Coho follow from June into October, tracking bait along the pinnacle's edges. Jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, or soft plastic swimbaits works the rock for Black Rockfish and Lingcod, and drift jigging with metal jigs or herring covers the deeper halibut ground. Trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, or spoons takes the salmon as they pass the structure on the tide.
