Perry Rock is a mid-exposure pinnacle in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, rising over rocky bottom through depths of 5 to 35 feet. The structure holds a strong rockfish population, with Black Rockfish peaking February through October and Copper Rockfish present year-round, while Lingcod come on strongest from February through April. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho from June to October, and Pacific Halibut hold near the base from March through August. Jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits works the pinnacle for lingcod and rockfish, while trolling spoons, hootchies, and cut-plug herring cover the salmon passing over the structure. For halibut, drift jigging with metal jigs or leadheads dressed with soft plastics works the deeper edges around the rock.
