Tatchu Rocks is an exposed rocky pinnacle off Kyuquot on British Columbia's outer coast, where the bottom rises through depths of 40 to 180 feet. Chinook Salmon hold here from May through August and Coho Salmon follow from June into September, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies along the structure. The pinnacle's rock relief holds Lingcod, which peak in spring and again through summer and respond to metal jigs and swimbaits worked near the bottom, alongside Black Rockfish that stay active from March into September. Pacific Halibut move onto the surrounding flats from March through August and take leadhead jigs and swimbaits drifted across the seabed. Copper and Quillback Rockfish share the same rocky ground, making this an outer-exposed spot that fishes across the full water column from the shallows to deep bottom.
