STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Grogan Rock is an outer-exposed pinnacle off Kyuquot, British Columbia, rising through rocky bottom across a depth range of 35 to 385 feet. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from March through May and again from June through August, alongside Black Rockfish that stay active from March through September and resident Copper and Quillback Rockfish. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho from June to September, while Pacific Halibut hold near the base from March through August. Anglers work the rock and its adjacent slopes with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs for Lingcod and rockfish, dropping down to the deeper margins to drift jig for halibut. Trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies over the pinnacle takes both Chinook and Coho through the summer window.
