East Entrance Reef is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle off Kyuquot, British Columbia, rising through waters that run 130 to 210 feet deep. The structure holds a resident mix of rockfish—Canary, China, Copper, and Black—along with Lingcod, all peaking from roughly March through September, while Pacific Halibut work the deeper bottom from March to August. Chinook Salmon move through May to August and Coho follow from June to September, giving the site an overlapping bottom-and-salmon season through the summer. Anglers targeting Lingcod and Black Rockfish jig the pinnacle with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs, while drift jigging leadhead jigs and metal jigs across the surrounding depths suits the Halibut. For salmon, trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and spoons over and around the reef covers both Chinook and Coho as they pass.
