Distances are in a straight line, not by water.

West Entrance Rock Hump is a rocky pinnacle in the outer, exposed waters off Kyuquot, rising through depths of 105 to 150 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their May–August peak and Coho Salmon from June into September, with anglers working the water above the hump by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies. Pacific Halibut concentrate here from March through August, taken on drift-jigged leadhead jigs and metal jigs or bottom bait such as whole herring and octopus. The rocky top and surrounding relief support Lingcod, best from March through May and again June through August, alongside Black Rockfish from March into September, both of which respond to metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs worked close to the structure. Canary Rockfish also inhabit the pinnacle, adding to the bottom-fishing mix over this hard rock bottom.
