STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

West Entrance Rock is an exposed rocky pinnacle off Kyuquot, British Columbia, rising through outer waters that hold between 40 and 120 feet of depth. The structure draws Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through August, alongside Lingcod that fish well from March to May and again from June to August. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho follow from June to September, giving the spot a long window of activity across the season. Anglers work the rocky bottom with drift jigging for halibut using leadhead jigs, swimbaits, or metal jigs, while lingcod respond to metal jigs and swimbaits over the pinnacle. Chinook and Coho are taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and spoons through the exposed outer edges where the pinnacle concentrates fish.
