Munsie Rocks is an exposed rocky pinnacle off Kyuquot, British Columbia, where the bottom rises from around 70 feet to within 5 feet of the surface along outer, open-water structure. Chinook Salmon hold here from May through August and Coho Salmon from June into September, with trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and spoons working the currents that sweep the pinnacle. The rock itself supports strong Lingcod fishing, peaking March through May and again June through August, best targeted by jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs over the structure. Black Rockfish stack up from March to September and take jigs and soft plastic swimbaits, while Copper Rockfish and China Rockfish share the same broken rock. Pacific Halibut move onto the surrounding flats and edges from March through August, where drift jigging leadhead jigs and swimbaits covers the deeper ground.
