STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

The Hump 2.6 km S of Jerome Island is a rocky pinnacle rising from an outer-exposed stretch off Port Hardy, British Columbia, where depths range from roughly 30 to 610 feet. The structure holds a deep-water mix of Pacific Cod, Rougheye and Aurora Rockfish, and Sablefish, alongside seasonal targets that push through the shallower rock. Pacific Halibut peak from March through August, with Lingcod and Chinook Salmon following from May through August. Halibut hold along the base and drop-offs, where drift fishing with whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid covers ground, while jigging metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits works the pinnacle's crown for Lingcod. Chinook run the current lines around the structure, where trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, or hootchies tracks fish through the water column.
