Egeria Shoal is a rock pinnacle off Port McNeill, British Columbia, rising through outer-exposed water where depths run 60 to 180 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut and Chinook Salmon from May through August, with Coho Salmon extending into September and Lingcod peaking across late winter, midsummer, and early fall. Halibut hold near the base of the pinnacle, where drift jigging with leadhead jigs and plastic swimbaits or metal jigs covers the rocky bottom, and bottom bait fishing with whole herring or salmon heads works the same depths. Lingcod concentrate on the pinnacle itself, taking metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs worked close to the rock. Chinook and Coho move through the exposed water above, where trolling flashers with hootchies, trolling spoons, and whole herring tracks the current lines around the structure.
