STRUCTURE
Drop Off
Mid

Seymour Island sits off Sayward, British Columbia, where a rock bottom drops away steeply from 330 to 1,310 feet along a mid-exposure ledge. The drop-off draws Chinook Salmon from May through August and Coho Salmon from June into October, both taken primarily by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies through the upper water. Pacific Halibut hold near the base of the structure from April to August, where drift jigging with leadhead jigs, metal jigs, or soft plastic swimbaits works the deeper rock. Lingcod peak in late winter through early spring and again in late summer, responding to metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs worked close to the bottom. Quillback Rockfish stay catchable across the calendar on jigs and leadheads over the same rocky terrain.
