Aldridge Point sits off Sooke, British Columbia, where a rock drop-off falls from roughly 40 to 180 feet along a mid-exposure stretch of coast. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their peak in June to August and Coho Salmon across a longer window from June into October. Trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, or hootchies over the edge covers the bulk of the water column and stays productive for both species. Anglers working the same drop-off also mooch cut-plug or whole herring for Chinook, while metal jigs reach fish holding tight to the rock at depth. For Coho, bucktailing near the surface and trolling flashers and spoons work the shallower part of the range.
