Furry Creek is a mid-exposure bay on Howe Sound near Vancouver, British Columbia, with a mixed bottom and fishable depths running from 10 to 80 feet. The bay holds Chinook Salmon that peak from June through August and Coho Salmon that run strong from June into September. Downrigger trolling works the deeper edges for Chinook, with whole herring, anchovy, trolling spoons, or hootchies pulled along the mixed bottom, while mooching cut-plug herring covers the same water at a slower pace. Coho respond to trolling spoons, hootchies, and flashers through the upper part of the water column, and bucktailing near the surface takes fish holding shallow. Jigging with metal jigs offers a vertical option for both species over the bay's uneven bottom.
