Grace Islands sits off Vancouver, British Columbia, a mixed rocky spot with mid exposure and depths running from 15 to 80 feet. The rock bottom holds Chinook Salmon, which peak from June through August. Downrigger trolling dominates here, worked with whole herring, anchovy, trolling spoons, or hootchies across the structure and along the deeper edges. Anglers also take fish by mooching whole herring, cut-plug herring, or anchovy, and by jigging metal jigs over the rock. Working the varied depth band keeps baits in contact with fish moving through the islands.
