About Indian Creek
Indian Creek is a protected inner waterway corridor in Miami, Florida, with a sand bottom running 10 to 15 feet deep. Common Snook, Gray Snapper, and Yellowtail Snapper peak from May through July, Mutton Snapper peaks from April through June, and King Mackerel take over the seasonal calendar from November through March. Crevalle Jack round out the species mix along the corridor. Snook respond to live bait drifting with live pilchards, live shrimp, or live mullet along the sheltered channel, while casting topwater plugs and soft plastic jerkbaits works the same water with artificials. Gray Snapper hold to the sandy bottom and take cut bait and live shrimp presented with bottom fishing in the 10 to 15 foot range.
