About Rickenbacker CSWY Reef

Rickenbacker CSWY Reef is an artificial reef near the Rickenbacker Causeway in Miami, within Florida's Southeast Atlantic state waters. Gray Snapper peak from May through July and hold tight to the reef structure, where bottom fishing with live shrimp, live pilchards, cut bait, or squid accounts for most fish. Common Snook share the same May–July peak and respond to live pilchards, live shrimp, live mullet, or live pinfish drifted along the structure, while bucktail jigs and soft plastic swimbaits work as alternatives. Tarpon move through from March through May, and anglers target them by drifting live crabs, live mullet, or live pilchards past the reef. Sheepshead and Crevalle Jack round out the species mix around the structure.
