About Bradenton Memorial Pier
Bradenton Memorial Pier is a public fishing pier in the Sarasota Bay region of Florida's Gulf state waters, where pilings and surrounding structure hold a steady rotation of inshore species through the year. Sheepshead peak from December through March and hug the pilings, where bottom fishing with fiddler crabs, sand fleas, live shrimp, or oysters targets them tight to the structure. Common Snook take over from May through July and respond to live pilchards, live pinfish, and live threadfin herring, while Gray Snapper peak from June through August and hold near the bottom for live shrimp and cut sardines. Spanish Mackerel run in two windows, March through May and September through November, and anglers cast small spoons, jigs, and plugs to intercept them. Red Drum peak in September and October, when bottom fishing with cut mullet, cut ladyfish, or blue crabs rounds out the fall season on the pier.
