About Channel Marker Reefs

Channel Marker Reefs is an artificial reef site in the Sarasota Bay Region of Florida's Gulf state waters, just off the Sarasota coastline. The structure sits within the state-managed waters that link Sarasota Bay to the open Gulf of Mexico, so it belongs to the same coastal system that shapes local inshore and nearshore fishing. As placed hard bottom, the reef breaks up otherwise open seafloor and gives anglers a fixed, mappable target to work. The site's coordinates, 27.3318 N and 82.5726 W, help boaters locate the structure precisely on arrival. Species records and depth data for Channel Marker Reefs are not yet on file, so this page will gain detail as reports from the spot accumulate.
