STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

The Hump 1.2 km SW of Three Arch Rocks is an outer, exposed rock pinnacle rising in 55 to 100 feet of water off Garibaldi, Oregon. The structure holds a strong Chinook Salmon run peaking June through September and Coho Salmon from June into October, both worked by trolling herring, spoons, flashers, and hoochies, or by mooching cut-plug and whole herring over the rise. Lingcod stack up on the rock in late winter, peaking February and March, and respond to metal jigs, swimbaits, and lead-head jigs with grub tails dropped tight to the pinnacle. Pacific Halibut move through from March into August and are taken by drift fishing herring, salmon belly, octopus, and squid across the deeper edges. The rocky bottom also carries aggregate rockfish, including canary and vermilion, along with Pacific Cod.
